I am sure you have already tried all the wonderful methods on offer to stop smoking. I know the feeling, I was there 5 years ago, smoking around 60 per day, wondering how I would ever get rid of the habit especially with everybody around me moaning and telling me to smoke outside the house. After 25 years of smoking I found the way.... Simply stop with no outside interference or medicines - just stop! Your reaction to this will be rubbish, well here is the method, its free. Give it a try. I have never felt better than after I stopped.
Step 1: Make a conscious decision that you will stop smoking and wait for a good day. Don't, whatever you do, make an appointment to stop because believe me this will not be a good day, choose the day you wake up and don't feel like smoking, you have had enough of cigarettes and this is the moment.
Step 2: Tell somebody who thinks you are an idiot for smoking,preferably a non smoker of note, that you are going to stop and tell yourself that you are going to prove to this person that you can do it and that you do have the willpower. Nobody will stop for themselves or for money or even health because while you are smoking you are immortal.Without this step you will fail.
Step 3: Muster up all the willpower you have in your system, put a full unopened packet of cigarettes where you can display them for keepsake and never open them. You may however touch the packet from time to time, but do not open it.
Step 4: Purchase lots of energy type drinks ( electrolytes ) - energy sports drinks. (Not Red Bull or sodas) as these tend to make you feel like smoking out of habit. The energy drinks tend to replace that lost feeling and make up for the craving. You will need these for about 3 weeks and then you will not feel like them anymore, but you will also not be addicted to cigarettes any more and the only reason you would start again after 3 weeks would be as a result of weakness.
Step 5: Don't, what ever you do, take a drag or just one cigarette as you are an addict no matter what you say and you will have to start from scratch again.Not even a cigar after a meal in a restaurant.You can have a drink with your friends and carry on your life as always contrary to popular belief but keep your wits about you and don't discuss smoking at every opportunity, try to forget it.
Step 6: Take it day by day and never tell that person you chose how well you are doing - just show them! That person is just waiting for you to fail. Health24-news
